Spider-Man Themed Marvel Vinylmation Series 2 by Disney

After Disney released their hugely popular Avengers themed Marvel Vinylmation Series 1 last year, it was only a matter of time until they released a second series, and here it is! Designed once again by Thomas Scott, Marvel Vinylmation Series 2 is Spider-Man themed and features ol’ webhead and a ton of his most popular allies and villains. Series 2 includes Spider-Man, Green Goblin, The Lizard, Venom, J. Jonah Jameson, Black Cat, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio and The Rhino.

Marvel Vinylmation Series 2 by Disney goes on sale Friday, August 29th, at Disney World, Disneyland and online at DisneyStore.com! Guardians of the Galaxy “What A Bunch Of A-Holes” Print by Tracy Tubera

To celebrate The Blot’s favorite Marvel movie, Tracy Tubera has made this awesome Guardians of the Galaxy print! Giving a big middle finger to the galaxy, “What A Bunch of A-Holes” features Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket Raccoon ready to leap into battle against foes way over their head. The Blot’s been a huge fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy since the modern incarnation of the team debuted a decade ago, and I’m thrilled Marvel took a chance on this motley crew. GID & Flesh Stegoforest Vinyl Figures by Ghost&Flower x Velocitron

This Friday, Ghost&Flower will be dropping the third and fourth painted colorways of his killer sofubi dinosaur Stegoforest! First up is the Glow in the Dark Stegoforest (with matching Acorn Warrior) painted by Velocitron. This awesome looking release will retail for $80, while blank GID Stegoforest figures will retail for just $55.

Ghost&Flower’s second release this Friday is the painted Flesh Stegoforest, which features green, blue and yellow sprays with silver eyes. This bad boy will retail for just $55, with blank Flesh Stegoforest figures will retail for just $50.

Each figures is 7” long and 4” tall, features two points of articulation (head and front left foot), and includes a 2” long Acorn Warrior sidekick. Both figures are cast in soft Japanese vinyl, and goes on sale Friday, August 8th, at the Stegoforest online store.

Painted Cheestroyer Vinyl Figures by Double Haunt and Bad Teeth

After a hugely successful launch via Kickstarter, Double Haunt and Bad Teeth have released its first wave of hand painted Cheestroyer vinyl figures and they look killer! I love their use of painted details mixed in with a variety of different colored/textured insides. It gives each figure a very unique look.

Produced by Unbox Industries, there’s also a handful of unpainted glow in the dark, crystal clear, bubblegum pink and some very limited black glitter vinyl Cheestroyers available. There’s definitely a little something for everyone at the Double Haunt online store. Each figure stands 4.75” tall, features multiple articulation and comes packaged in a bag with a header card. The Blot hasn’t seen one of these Cheestroyer figures in person yet, but I can’t wait to get my hands on one!

Johnny Cupcakes x Family Matters “Nerd Chase” T-Shirt

Johnny Cupcakes newest t-shirt design is going to make you scream TGIF! That’s because it pays homage to the classic ABC sitcom Family Matters. If you grew up as a kid in the ‘90s then you were definitely a fan of ABC’s TGIF, a Friday night block of family-friendly prime time television programming. And to The Blot, TGIF was all about two shows: Full House and Family Matters. Johnny Cupcakes’ new “Nerd Chase” features a police officer who resembles a certain Carl Winslow (portrayed by Reginald VelJohnson on Family Matters) chasing a “nerd” that just may be Jaleel White’s beloved Urkel.

Sleepy Dan Series 4 T-Shirt Collection

Dang, The Blot totally slept on Sleepy Dan’s Series 4 T-Shirt Collection! But thankfully both of Series 4’s awesome sleep inspired tees are still available at the Sleepy Dan online store. First up is “Stay Fluft”, which features Sleepy Dan’s signature creation the Pillow Monster back to terrorize the feathered fowl for a feast. Then there’s the Red Edition “Monster Kicks” design, which was previously released in a Cement Grey colorway. After the Cement Grey “Monster Kicks” sold out so quickly, Sleepy Dan decided to bring it back in a homage to the Fire Red Jordan 3 sneakers. Both designs are water based printed on 100% cotton, so they're super soft and are sleepy comfortable.

SDCC 14 Exclusive Guardians of the Galaxy Toon Tumbler Pint Glasses

At San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Marvel released these awesome SDCC exclusive Guardians of the Galaxy Toon Tumblers Pint Glasses by PopFun! Each member of the Guardians of the Galaxy (Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and Groot) got their own glass, with a different character Toon Tumbler released each day of Comic-Con. The Blot hasn’t heard if these limited edition pint glasses sold out at San Diego Comic-Con, but they were too cool to ignore completely. It’s just too bad PopFun didn’t release these pictures before the convention. Here’s hoping some eventually show up for sale at Marvel.com.

Guardians of the Galaxy “Nova Corps” Character Movie Posters

It’s finally here, opening weekend of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy! The Blot is beyond excited for Marvel’s first film set in deep space. To me, the most interesting aspect of this film is the role of the famed Nova Corps and Xandarian. How are they weaving this bit of Marvel lore into the Marvel Cinematic Unvierse and more importantly, will this be the lead in to the debut of Richard Rider in the MCU!?! Sadly, I assume if any human Nova makes it into the MCU it’ll probably be the new Nova, Sam Alexander instead of the more popular/famous Rider.

One of the best things to come out of Marvel’s live action movies has been New Era’s tie-in hat collections. That trend continues with this awesome collection of Guardians of the Galaxy hats! My favorites of the bunch are these awesome GotG Character Face 59Fifty caps featuring Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord. These Guardians of the Galaxy Character Face 59Fifty fitted caps feature character face graphics that encompass the entire hat and is made of 100% woven nylon. There’s also a pretty sweet “Retro Arcade” GotG 9Fifty snapback cap. The Blot loves the old school vibe of this black and teal hat!

Rocket Raccoon “Suit-Up” Guardians Of The Galaxy Backpack by Hot Topic

One of the more random tie-ins to Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy live action movie is this Hot Topic online exclusive Rocket Raccoon “Suit-Up” Backpack! This somewhat movie accurate backpack is modeled after Rocket’s orange vest, sports a plush raccoon tail (although they should have gone with a furry tail) and hidden in the top zipper pocket is an awesome Rocket Racoon hood. Ok, the hood alone makes this a pretty sweet release, don’t you think!?! It also features the Guardians of the Galaxy movie logo on the right strap.

The Rocket Raccoon “Suit-Up” Guardians of the Galaxy Backpack measures 12”x7 ½”x17” and can be purchased exclusively at the Hot Topic online store for $49.50. If you act quickly it’s currently on sale for $39.60.
