Agents of SHIELD The Art of Evolution Print Series - “Aftershocks” print by Gabriele Dell'Otto
The second half of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Season 2 kicked off last night and with it an all new print series based on the hit ABC television show! After the huge success of last year’s The Art of Level 7 print series, Marvel has decided to do it all over again. This season the poster series is entitled “The Art of Evolution,” and for 12 straight weeks Marvel will be releasing a new lithograph for each episode in the back half of Agents of SHIELD Season 2.
The first Agents of SHIELD print in this exciting new series is “Aftershocks” by popular comic book artist Gabriele Dell'Otto! Dell'Otto is actually the co-creator of Agent Skye’s true comic book character, Daisy Johnson, so what better artist to kick-off the series!?! It features Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Chloe Bennet as Skye, and Ruth Negga as Raina. But best of all, it gives us our very first look at Raina’s new appearance after her bath in the terrigen mist! This 16”x24” print is limited to just 100 pieces and comes individually numbered. It is currently available for purchase at the Marvel online store for $49.95 each.

“Anticipation Sketchup” Custom 8” Dunny by Sket-One
For The Blot, there is no Condiment Dunny as iconic as Sket One’s original Sketchup (seen here)! So I was super pumped to learn Sket was revisiting this iconic custom with the Anticipation Sketchup 8” Dunny. It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since Sket first released the 8” Sketchup, and I love that he’s utilizing a translucent resin Dunny head again to make the figure look like it’s a half empty bottle of ketchup with remnants of the condiment still inside.
Each handmade figure will be one of a kind because of how the splattered ketchup effect is applied to each piece. Inspired by Heinz' iconic Tomato Ketchup bottle, the “Anticipation Sketchup” comes with a 8.25”x5.5” metal condiment holder, 2.25oz mini bottle of ketchup and a 4”x4” custom display card.
The “Anticipation Sketchup” Custom 8” Dunny by Sket One comes signed by the artist and goes on sale this Friday, March 6th, at 12am EST for just 24 hours at the Sket One online store for $485. This timed release’s run size will be set by the number of pieces ordered during the ordering window.

TRU Exclusive Valiant Comics Minimates 2 Pack #1 - X-O Manowar & Bloodshot
Well this is an exciting development! It turns out the Valiant Comics Minimates 2 Pack I blogged about last week (seen here) was actually a Previews Exclusive Variant Set featuring “Battle Damaged” versions of X-O Manowar and Bloodshot. Now we know Diamond Select Toys' standard edition set will be seeing a much larger release as a Toys R Us Exclusive! The Blot knew we'd see the release of a helmeted X-O Manowar really soon, but even I didn't think it would come this quickly.
The TRU Exclusive Valiant Entertainment Comic Book Minimates 2 Pack features the alien-armored Visigoth hero X-O Manowar and the indestructible commando Bloodshot sporting their signature looks from their hit comic book series. This awesome set comes complete with both heroes' signature accessories, alternate parts, and an exclusive, never-before-seen Valiant comic book insert! Each Valiant MiniMates 2 pack also includes a free comic book digital download offer, powered by comiXology.
Each Valiant Comics Minimate mini-figure stands 2 inches tall and features 14 points of articulation. Packaged in a full color blister card, this X-O Manowar and Bloodshot 2 Pack is now available at all Toys R Us retail locations and ToysRUs.com for just $7.49.

First Blood Screen Print by Grzegorz Domaradzki
Grey Matter Art has unveiled their newest officially licensed, limited edition screen print, and it’s for the seminal ‘80s action film, First Blood! The film that first introduced the world to Sylvester Stallone’s John Rambo has been immortalized in this killer movie poster by the super talented Grzegorz Domaradzki (“Gabz”). There’s so much going on in this design, and yet it was masterfully composed within the portrait of Stallone.
First Blood by Grzegorz Domaradzki is a 24”x36” screen print. The Standard Edition has a limited edition run size of 300 pieces and will retail for $50, while the Variant has a limited edition run size of 150 pieces and will retail for $75. There’s also a super limited Wood Variant, which is limited to just 50 pieces and will retail for $250. All three versions of this awesome print will go on sale at a random time between 1-2pm EST on Wednesday, March 4th, at the Grey Matter online store.

“Society of Destruction” Screen Print by Shepard Fairey
Shepard Fairey has been on fire lately with this newest batch of propaganda style screen prints. The Blot is a huge fan of his newest design, “Society of Destruction”, and would love to hang this one up on my wall. It features a number of Shepard Fairey’s signature art elements, including the classic Obey Giant star logo, militaristic lines, and red and black color scheme. Here’s hoping this rebirth of creativity continues for a really long time, because I can’t even imagine the types of awesome Obey prints we may get in the future if it does.
“Society of Destruction” by Shepard Fairey is an 18”x24” Obey Giant signed and numbered screen print. It has a limited edition run size of 450 pieces and goes on sale at a random time between 10am-11am PST today, Tuesday, March 3rd, at the Obey Giant online store for $45 each.

Star Wars Black Series Wave 8 6” Action Figures
Hasbro has finally listened to its fans and released a full wave of all new Star Wars Black Series 6” action figures! Ok, technically this wave includes one re-release, but I’m giving Hasbro a pass since they never should have released the Han Solo in Stormtrooper Gear figure without its matching Luke Skywalker figure. Star Wars Black Series Wave 8 includes Emperor Palpatine from Episode 6, Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper Gear and Han Solo in Stormtrooper Gear from Episode 4, and a Clone Trooper Captain from Episode 2. Is it just me or does Palpatine in the photo above kind of look like an old school Mego figure!?!
Each Star Wars Black Series Wave 8 action figure stands 6” tall, is highly detailed and fully articulated, and comes with character specific accessories in a full color window box. While Star Wars Black Series Wave 8 is not expected to hit store shelves until April 2015, you can pre-order the entire wave for $79.99 here or the figures individually for $19.99 each here.

Toy Review: Inner Child Vinyl Figure by Nerviswr3k
The Blot was beyond excited to get the opportunity to review Nerviswr3k’s first production vinyl figure, the Inner Child! I’ve been a fan of his custom work for years, and from the photos I’d seen this figure looked handmade. Shocking as it may be, the figure surpassed even my high expectations! I seriously can’t get over how much this 4” figure looks like one of Nerviswr3k’s custom pieces.
Produced by SubUrban Vinyl, the Inner Child’s QC is pretty much perfect. The paint application is impeccable and the factory did a great job putting these figures together. I love the expression on the Inner Child’s face, and the teeth on his costume are actually sharp (but not that sharp)! With all of the texture on this sculpt, if I didn’t know any better I’d think this was a Japanese sofubi release. You just don’t see this level of detail in western figures these days.
Even though Inner Child is only 4” tall, it’s got some serious heft to it. As you can tell from these photos, it looks way bigger than your standard 3” Dunny even though it's just 1” taller. I’ve also posed it with Gary Ham’s Wooper Looper and Brandt Peters's Stingy Jack to give you a feel of how awesome Inner Child would look in your collection! I think these kind of photos help put new releases in perspective since so many of us now shop almost exclusively online and never get to see these awesome designer art toys in person before taking the plunge to spend our hard earned money on them. As you can see, this figure lives up to the hype! So what are you waiting for already!?!
Nerviswr3k’s Inner Child comes packaged in a full color box, will be released in 3 killer colorways (limited to 125 pieces each), and will retail for just $45! The Tenacious Toys Exclusive Blue colorway went on sale last weekend here, and the standard edition Red colorway is available now at the following select retailers: Rotofugi, My Plastic Heart, The Cotton Candy Machine, Woot Bear, Collect and Display, Art Attack Toys, WTF Plastic Co, Toy Tokyo, Clutter Gallery and Martian Toys. Green is the third and final colorway, and it is scheduled to go on sale exclusively at SubUrban Vinyl on March 21st. Get one while you still can!
