Wow, it has been a very long time since The Blot has seen an officially licensed print for MTV’s cult classic ‘90s animated television series, Aeon Flux, and Belgian artist Bruno Vergauwen knocked it out of the park on this one! And I love Mondo’s use of foil paper to really give this futuristic dystopian saga the right look and feel.

The ‘90s will be back in a big way this November when Funko releases a new line of Beavis and Butt-Head Pop! Television vinyl figures! It’s about time Mike Judge’s signature MTV cartoon was brought back in a big way don’t you think? And there’s no better way to do that than with a series of cute, chunky vinyl figures of these two teenage rock loving juvenile delinquents.

Each Beavis and Butt-Head Pop! Television vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, features one point of articulation, and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. The minute The Blot saw this “The Two Sides of Scott Howard” hoodie I knew I had to have it. As a kid Michael J. Fox was always my favorite actor, and the original Teen Wolf is still one of my favorite films. I’m not all that familiar with MTV’s new Teen Wolf television series, but if it means we’ll be seeing more old school Teen Wolf releases like this one then I’m all for it! Plus this design works perfectly with Threadless’ zip-up hoodie.

The Maxx Limited Edition SDCC Vinyl Mini Action Figure

At the height of the comic book craze of the early to mid 90’s, Sam Kieth’s The Maxx was one of the best comics published by the newly created Image Comics. The bizarre world of The Maxx grew when Kieth joined forces with MTV to create the now classic The Maxx cartoon in 1995. Shocker Toys, which recently started producing a line of indie comic book character action figures, has produced an all new limited edition San Diego Comic Con 2008 exclusive mini Maxx vinyl action figure with 4 points of articulation.


The limited edition SDCC ’08 mini Maxx vinyl action figure is limited to 500 pieces and can be purchased at Shocker Toys’ San Diego Comic Con booth #3948 for $30.00. If you can’t make it to California for the big convention, a limited amount of mini Maxx figures are available now at the Shocker Toys online store.

Update: YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round Sneakers

After finding out last week that the YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round sneakers were coming out yesterday (April 19th), I got pretty excited. What’s not to love about these pink and white Puma high tops, right?


So I ran down to my local designer sneaker store to see if I could get my hands on a pair. I was pretty excited when I saw them sitting on a shelf with the other newly released wave 3 YO! MTV Raps x Puma sneakers, especially when I found out this particular store was the only shop in Houston (and possibly the state of Texas) to have gotten them in. Things were looking good until I found out they didn’t get a pair in stock that would fit my size 14 feet. Let’s just say The Blot was not a happy camper at that point.


The YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round sneakers are selling for $85 retail and the store here in Houston still had a bunch of pairs in stock as of yesterday afternoon. But don’t sleep on these limited edition sneakers, because once they’re sold out they’ll be gone forever. YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round

This weekend The Blot saw a picture of some of the best sneakers I’ve seen in a very long time and I have got to get a pair. At the end of last year Puma unveiled a line of limited edition shoes and clothing which pays tribute to the classic MTV television show YO! MTV Raps. The YO! MTV Raps x Puma shoe and clothing line honors the history of hip-hop and some of its greatest ambassadors including Doctor Dre and Ed Lover, Big Daddy Kane, MC Shan and Doug E. Fresh.
