Carnage & The Maxx Custom Munnys by Shadoe Delgado

Carnage Custom Munny Vinyl Figure by Shadoe Delgado

The Blot loves superhero themed custom vinyl figures and Shadoe Delgado really knocked it out of the park with these two Munnys! I love how he was able to stay true to these iconic ‘90s comic book characters while reinterpreting them in his unique art style. First up is the killer Spider-Man villain Carnage, which is made from an 8” custom Munny and you can even remove the symbiote! The second custom figure is a spot-on 5.5” The Maxx Munny. I don’t know about you, but The Blot never tires of seeing sick The Maxx custom figures.

The Maxx Custom Munny Vinyl Figure by Shadoe Delgado

Sadly both of these figures were commissioned by a private collector, so neither is available for purchase. But if anyone is interested in a similar comic book character piece, shoot Shadoe an email or hit him up through his online store. Tell him The Blot sent you and make sure you send me pics of the finished custom pieces once they’ve been added to your collection!!

DCon 2012 Exclusive The MAXXakuri by Nebulon5

Designer Con 2012 Exclusive The MAXXakuri Custom Vinyl Figure Series by Nebulon5

For Designer Con 2012, Nebulon5 has created a killer set of The Maxxakuri custom figures. Utilizing Grody Shogun’s Karakuri, this purple and yellow color scheme pays tribute to one of the coolest comic book characters ever…Sam Kieth’s The Maxx! Everyone who grew up in the 90’s either read Kieth’s hit comic book series from Image or watched the animated television series on MTV (or, most likely, did both). The Blot loves comic book inspired colorways, and Neb did a fantastic job recreating The Maxx’ look and feel on these 4” Karas. I’ve got a sinking suspicious these are going to go quickly at DCon.

The Designer Con 2012 Exclusive The MAXXakuri by Nebulon5 has a limited edition run size of just 5 pieces, and will be sold exclusively at Spanky Stokes’ DCon booth.

San Diego Comic-Con International logoAt the height of the comic book craze of the early to mid 90’s, Sam Kieth’s The Maxx was one of the best comics published by the newly created Image Comics.
