The Phantom of the Opera Screen Print by Chris Weston x Vice Press x Bottleneck Gallery

With San Diego Comic Con, and most conventions throughout the country, being cancelled or moved to online experiences, Bottleneck Gallery wanted to take the spirit of SDCC and create a week’s worth of releases that would excite and entertain fans of the genres, mediums, and properties present at these wonderful conventions. For today’s release BNG has teamed up with Vice Press to release this epic Universal Monsters movie poster for the Lon Chaney starring The Phantom of the Opera by artist Chris Weston.

As Vice Press explained, “In what we hope to be the first in an ongoing series, Chris captures the beautiful art deco of Universal’s iconic The Phantom of the Opera. We worked closely with the Chaney estate to truly do this piece justice.”

The Phantom of the Opera by Chris Weston is a 24”x36” hand numbered Universal Monsters screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 175 pieces and will retail for £40 / $50, while the Variant is limited to 100 pieces and will retail for £50 / $64. Both movie posters will go on sale at 5pm BT / 12pm ET today, Tuesday, July 14th, at Vice-Press.com and BottleneckGallery.com.

The Phantom of the Opera Screen Print by Timothy Pittides x Mad Duck Posters

Later this week Mad Duck Posters will release a killer new movie poster for the timeless 1925 film The Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney by talented Texas based artist Timothy Pittides! As Pittides explained “I have been waiting to do a poster for The Phantom of the Opera for over a year. It is my favorite film from the silent film era and my sketchbook has been busy with concepts relating to the film. I wanted to do something different than the other posters for the film that artists have been releasing. The first order of business was NOT to include the Phantom as the Red Death. That ship has sailed. Second, I wanted a design to fit alongside my poster for my second favorite silent film, Nosferatu.”

Pittides continued, “Third, I didn’t want to focus on Erik himself. I believe the story didn’t focus on him as much as it did Christine. Christine was the key to everything, his love, his rage, and his eventually downfall. And on her side, she had to endure so much and did what she had to do for love. I took the mirror as central theme and wanted to portray a feeling of dread, beauty and sadness. I hope this comes across.” The Phantom of the Opera by Timothy Pittides will be available in two editions.

The Standard Edition is a 3 screen print on Packing Chip Kraft-Tone, is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $40. The Metallic Variant is a 3 color screen print featuring metallic nickel ink on reich shimmer metallic silver paper, is limited to just 45 pieces and will retail for $50. Both colorways will go on sale at 12pm EST this Wednesday, January 25th, at the Mad Duck Posters online store.

The Phantom of the Opera Screen Print by Nicolas Delort & Dark Hall Mansion

Dark Hall Mansion has announced the latest limited edition fine art screen print in its popular movie poster series, and it’s The Phantom of the Opera by acclaimed artist Nicolas Delort! Interestingly enough, this is a film Delort has been specifically wanting to design a poster of for some time, and DHM is proud to finally reveal his elegant sweeping vision of the 1925 silent classic film that starred Lon Chaney, Sr. in perhaps his most well known film.

The Phantom of the Opera by Nicolas Delort is an 18”x24” hand numbered screen print. It will be available in a black Standard Edition that is limited to 280 pieces and will retail for $65, and a blue Variant Edition that is limited to just 50 pieces and will retail for $100. DHM is also releasing Foil Variants of both the editions that are each limited to 10 pieces and will retail for $150 each, and a Canvas Edition that are each limited to just 5 pieces and will retail for $250 each.
