Transformers Megatron Print by Luke Preece x Moor-Art Gallery

Today, Moor-Art Gallery is releasing a new officially licensed Transformers print of the evil Megatron by artist Luke Preece!  It’s the perfect companion piece to Preece’s previously released Optimus Prime print. The Regular Edition features Megatron with his blaster, having delivered the fatal blow to Optimus Prime, while the Variant is a pearlescent foil print depicting a “reformatting” Megatron as he becomes Galvatron (as seen in Transformers: The Movie).

Megatron by Luke Preece is an 18”x24” hand numbered fine art pigment print. The Regular Edition on Fedrigoni 300gsm archival paper is limited to 120 pieces and will retail for £39.99 / $50, while the Variant on Fedrigoni Sirio 300gsm pearlescent foil paper is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for £44.99 / $57. SDCC 2020 Exclusive Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy Quintesson Pit of Judgement Box Set by Hasbro

Hasbro has been announcing a ton of San Diego Comic-Con 2020 exclusives this week, including this epic SDCC 2020 Exclusive Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy Quintesson Pit of Judgement Box Set based on the 1986 animated film, Transformers: The Movie! Seven-year-old The Blot would have gone absolutely crazy for this set back in the laste ‘80s!

This set includes the Quintesson Judge, Quintesson Prosecutor, Quintesson Bailiff, Sharkticon, and Kranix. What’s really awesome is the Kranix figure can fit inside the Quintesson Judge’s alternative mode and the Skarkticon’s mouth for extra playability! The packaging also transforms into a movie accurate display diorama. The only bad news about this set is that because of the pandemic, this SDCC 2020 exclusive won’t go on sale until September 2020 at HasbroPulse.com for $69.99.

SDCC 2019 Exclusive Transformers: The Movie Screen Print by Cesar Moreno x Mondo

Mondo will be releasing a ton of epic San Diego Comic-Con 2019 exclusive screen prints next week, including this amazing Transformers: The Movie poster by Cesar Moreno!!! The Blot is obsessed with Transformers: The Movie, so you know this release is one of my must gets from Comic-Con 2019. This 24”x36” screen print will be released on Saturday, July 20th. It is limited to 275 pieces and will retail for $55 at Mondo’s SDCC booth #435. Black Friday Exclusive Transformers: The Movie 30th Anniversary 2xLP Soundtrack Vinyl Album

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the original motion picture soundtrack to Transformers: The Movie (the original 1986 animated film, not the 2007 Michael Bay crap), Record Store Day is releasing this beautiful collector's edition, double vinyl package including two etched, colored LPs in a Transforming gate fold jacket as part of their Black Friday celebration. LP1 will be red vinyl etched with the Autobot logo, while LP2 will be purple vinyl etched with the Decepticon logo.

What’s really amazing about this release is that the soundtrack’s gatefold jacket completely “transforms” all four sides from an Autobot themed jacket to a Decepticon themed jacket! This original 1986 cult classic, remastered and re-imagined, has never sounded or looked better. Transformers: The Movie Screen Print by Tom Whalen

The Blot will never tire of Transformers: The Movie screen prints! Now I’m not talking about that live action abomination of a film that Michael Bay directed, I’m talking the epic ‘80s animated film entitled Transformers: The Movie. For Acidfree Gallery’s newest release Tom Whalen has designed an awesome movie poster featuring the central characters from the film. What I love about this print is that it doesn’t feature the same old Transfromers like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock and Megatron. Instead it features what I like to refer to as the second wave of TF Generation 1, including Rodimus Prime, Kup, Arcee, Ultra Magnus, Wreck-Gar and Galvitron. It’s even got Daniel Witwicky in his Transformers exosuit! This print is all kinds of perfect.

Transformers: The Movie by Tom Whalen is a 24”x36” 7 color screen print and will be available for purchase through the Acidfree Gallery online store at 12:30pm EST on Thursday, August 29th. The Standard Edition is a timed release that will be available for just three days (August 29-31) for $50. Its run size will be set by the number orders placed during that 3 window and each print will come hand numbered. The Variant features metallic inks, will come signed and numbered by the artist, has a limited edition run size of just 86 pieces, and can be purchased for $75 each.

SDCC 13 Exclusive Dead Optimus Prime Transformers Vinyl Figure by The Loyal Subjects

The Loyal Subjects released four different awesome San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusives of its popular Transformers and G.I. Joe vinyl figures, including this crazy “Dead” Optimus Prime 8” vinyl figure! I can’t wait to see one of these huge Optimus Prime vinyl figures in person, although I’m not sure I’d want a zombie Prime on my shelf. Coming straight out of Transformers: The Movie (the original animated film from the 1980s), comes this dead as a doornail monotone Optimus Prime with the Matrix of Leadership.

As you’re probably away (if you’re not SPOILERS!), Optimus Prime dies in the middle of the film and as passes away he turns gray. The color of the powerful warrior is drained from his body, just like the spark which gives him life dims from his chest. Now where’s Hot Rod when you really need him!?!

The San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive Dead Optimus Prime Transformers Vinyl Figure by The Loyal Subjects stands 8” tall, features multiple points of articulation and comes packaged in a special San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive box. This morbid Transformers figure has a limited edition run size of just 300 pieces and was sold exclusively at The Loyal Subject SDCC booth #5645 for $115.

Transformers: The Animated Movie Screen Print by Tim Doyle

Austin Books and Comics recently commissioned artist Tim Doyle to produce a promotional poster for their screening of The Blot’s favorite Transformers movie of all time (a.k.a. the original Transformers: The Movie from 1986) at the Blue Starlite Drive-In Theater in Austin Texas. Austin Books will have the above screen print, along with its metallic variant, in store only today, Wednesday, July 13th! The Blot would kill for this beautiful print, but according to Mr. Doyle, Austin Books has very few copies in stock so these should go incredibly quickly.

I especially love this movie poster because it features some of my favorite Transformers characters who typically get no love from the Transformers Universe and its diehard fans. That short list includes Rodimus Prime, Wheelie, the Junkions and grumpy old crotchety Kup! If anyone in the Austin area is heading down to Austin Books and Comics to pick up their weekly comics and/or one of these beautiful prints please shoot me an email! I would love some help in picking one of these up.

"Transformers: The Movie" by Tim Doyle is a 16”x26” signed and numbered screen print (the run size on the Standard Version and Metallic Variant are currently unknown). Both versions feature metallic silver ink, while the Metallic Variant is printed with silver, gold, and copper ink. Austin Books and Comics is located at 5002 North Lamar in Austin, and will open at 9am today. Hopefully you are already heading there if you want to get your hands on one of these awesome prints!
