New Iron Man 3 Movie Poster

It seems like there’s a new Iron Man 3 one sheet movie poster released every week now. That’s fine with The Blot because this newest poster is pretty bad ass! While I’m kinda over the battered Tony Stark in a falling apart Iron Man armor, this is still a really striking image. I love how the water looks dripping off his suit and all of the other Iron Man armors flying off in the background. Looks like a pretty cool fight scene don’t you think!?!

Black Ice Deadbeets & Black Fire Baby Deadbeets by Scott Tolleson & Skinner

Scott Tolleson’s dreaded Deadbeet is back this week with an all new painted release by the legendary Skinner!!! What’s even cooler about this release is Skinner painted up both a set of the full size 7.5” Deadbeet soft Japanese vinyl figure (entitled the Black Ice Beet) and a set Baby Deadbeet PVC mini figure (entitled the Black Fire Beet). Not only are these figures amazing, but Skinner’s header art is crazy good. The Blot is just drooling over this release!!!

The full size Black Ice Deadbeet has a limited edition run size of 10 pieces and will retail for $150 each (which includes a Black Fire Baby Deadbeet). The Black Fire Baby Deadbeet mini figure has a limited edition run size of 30 pieces and will retail for $30. Pick one up from Scott’s online store this Friday, March 8th, at 10am PST.

Sugar Skull Gread Resin Figures by Dead Hand Toys

Later today Dead Hand Toys will be releasing an extremely limited run of Sugar Skull Gread resin figures! This is only the second release of Brian Ahlbeck’s undead little bog monster (the first being last year’s Bone Gread). This is the most detailed paint job Brian’s ever done with any of his resin figures and boy did he knock this one out of the park! These Sugar Skull Greads turned out incredibly sick, and The Blot’s itching to get my hands on one.

First Look: Guzu Gallery presents “Deep Cuts: 12 Tributes to Our Favorite Music Heroes” Prints

While we’re still a few days away from the opening of Guzu Gallery’s newest group art show “Deep Cuts: 12" Tributes to Our Favorite Music Heroes”, The Blot’s excited to share with you a few pieces from the show, including this exclusive first look at David Moscati's Tom Waits inspired screen print! As you probably remember, for this show Guzu asked over 20 artists to choose a beloved music icon, cult hero or legend and let his/her creativity spill to paper. There were, however, three conditions: (1) the artwork must be a screen print; (2) the artwork must be album cover size; and (3) the artwork must cost just $25.

Here’s some additional information on the five killer 12.5” x 12.5” signed and numbered screen prints seen above! “The Brawler” by David Moscati has a limited edition run size of 50 pieces; “Wizard of Thunder” by Billy Perkins has a limited edition run size of 100 pieces; “Remember the Coop” by Ghoulish Gary Pullin has a limited edition run size of 30 pieces; “The Metallian” by Graham Erwin has a limited edition run size of 30 pieces; and “Viddy Well, Little Brother. Viddy Well.” by New Flesh / NE.

Deep Cuts’ opening reception will be Thursday, March 7th from 7 to 10pm and the artwork will remain up through April 7th. Any remaining pieces from the show’s opening will go on sale in the Guzu Gallery online store on Sunday, March 10th at 3pm CST.

First Look: Mini Pharaoh Hound Resin Figure by Argonaut Resins

Eric Nocella Diaz recently finished his new Mini Pharaoh Hound sculpt and it looks awesome! What you see here is the final wax stage of the prototype before it goes into resin production. It’s the perfect addition to Argonaut Resins’ family of original Egyptian resin figures. For this release END has resculpted his 8” Pharaoh Hound as a resin mini to match the previously releaed Tuttz Mini cat.

Johnny Cupcakes x NBA 2013 Big Kid T-Shirts

Back in 2010 Johnny Cupcakes released a killer series of NBA inspired Big Kid t-shirts just in time for the NBA All-Star Game (see the designs here). Each shirt featured JC’s mascot re-imagined as an NBA Legend (Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird). Flash forward three years and Johnny’s done it again! The weekend after the 2013 NBA All-Star Game Johnny Cupcakes has released an all new series of NBA inspired Big Kid tees!

This time around Big Kid has been reimagined as two current players and one Basketball Hall of Famer. Big Kid as the Los Angeles Clippers’ Blake Griffin was released as a JCLA Bakery exclusive, Big Kid as the Boston Celtics’ Paul Pierce was released as a JC Boston Bakery exclusive, and Big Kid as the Chicago Bulls Dennis Rodman was released as an online exclusive. Each t- design was also sold as exclusive buttons at each Johnny Cupcakes retail location. Is this a killer release or what!?!?

Each Johnny Cupcakes x NBA 2013 Big Kid t-shirt retailed for $39.99. The shirts were available in both men's and women’s styles, sizes S-3XL. Gray Edition Boob Ball by Buff Monster

The fifth and final colorway of Buff Monster’s popular Boob Ball vinyl figure is about to drop, and is it just me or was this version made especially for The Blot!?! The Gray Edition Boob Ball features a monochromatic color scheme and an ink blot style face. I’m not sure if Buff’s ever used this style before in his artwork but I’m definitely digging it. Produced by 3D Retro, the Gray Edition Boob Ball is cast in gray vinyl with black, white and gray paint, and has a limited edition run size of 150 pieces. Secret Painting Club Pink Edition by Couk

UK artist James Downing (aka Couk) has been working on his second wave of Secret Paintings and they go on today! This is a really cool project, which is a blind bag series of 20 original 4”x3” acrylic painting on box canvas. The Pink Edition Secret Painting Club includes 20 all new characters on warm pink canvases, including Poire Bleu, the poisonous pear girl, Chickbone and Wingman, a pair of fast food gourmets, and Man Farm Man, who has an incubator in his leg.

The Secret Painting Club Pink Version by Couk goes on sale at 4pm EST today, Friday, March 1st, at Couk’s online store for £23. Each Pink Secret Painting comes wrapped and tied in black paper along with a hand-drawn character card (containing a sketch and some information about the character) and a full color collector's card showcasing all 20 characters. All of this is packaged in a printed paper bag, sealed tightly with a wax seal.

Huck Gee’s Post-Apocalypse Dunny Series Checklist & Ratios

Yesterday at midnight Kidrobot released Huck Gee’s new solo Post-Apocalypse 3” Dunny Series. Fans worldwide seem to be going crazy over Huck’s newest production series and who can blame them! I love all the little added sculpting Kidrobot added to their Dunny platform to show off Huck’s designs.
