The Gachapon Goblins Mini Vinyl Figures by Rampage Toys

Rampage Toys has unveiled a really fun new line of mini sofubi vinyl figures entitled the Gachapon Goblins! This series includes seven 1.5-2” figures designed to fit in the Rampage Toys’ two inch Gachapon machine. The Gachapon Goblins includes Rampage Toys’ Ugly Unicorn and My Little Unicorn, Shitman by Art Junkie, Joseph Harmon’s Slimeface Seijin and Eggplant Bat Boy, and Walter Parenton’s Bobbybeast characters Harry and Bobby. What a strong line-up!

The first regular release of these exciting new mini figures will be at Superfestival on September 29th, but coming this Friday, August 23rd, Rampage Toys will open up a very special pre-order for a full set of The Gachapon Goblins (that’s all 7 figures) in unpainted black vinyl. Rumor has it there may be options for single blind bagged Gachapon Goblins and maybe even secret painted versions as well! It looks like each figure will retail for around $10, making amassing an army of these little guys extremely reasonable. DIY Blank Optimus Prime 8” Transformers Vinyl Figure by The Loyal Subjects

The Blot’s been racking my brain but I can’t think of another officially licensed Do It Yourself Transformers figure released before. Yes, there have been plenty of TF customs, but never a true blank DIY Transformer. The Loyal Subjects changed all that with the release of this all white, unpainted Do It Yourself Optimus Prime 8” vinyl figure! The Blot seriously can’t wait to see what customizers do with this one. Personally, I’m hoping there’s an upcoming custom show with some top tier talent for this awesome new figure.

The Blank Do It Yourself Generation 1 Optimus Prime 8” vinyl figure by The Loyal Subjects features multiple points of articulation, comes packaged in a full color displayable window box and includes Optimus’ signature blaster. While this 8” version of the Autobots’ fearless leader is not expected to hit store shelves until October 2013, collectors can pre-order one from Entertainment Earth for $34.99 here.

Bernie Wrightson's Oversized Frankenstein Screen Print "First Day"

Later today Nakatomi will be releasing the latest print in its Frankenstein Screen Print Series featuring the artwork of comic book legend Bernie Wrightson! Today’s release is a beautiful oversized 24”x36” screen print entitled "First Day" and features Bernie’s classic take on Frankenstein’s monster in a very serene setting. Each print comes signed and numbered by Bernie Wrightson and has a limited edition run size of 150 pieces, with only 35 made available to the public (the remaining 115 of these prints are already spoken for through the series’ subscription). The print goes on sale at 2pm CDT today, Wednesday, August 21st, at the Nakatomi online store.

Toy Art Gallery has teamed up with Nebulon5 to release an epic run of Scott Tolleson’s Deadbeet 6” vinyl figure! Cast in glow in the dark soft Japanese vinyl, these hand painted Deadbeets by Nebulon5 feature green, black and red spray and glow like nobody’s business. The Blot loves what Nebulon5 has been doing with Deadbeets over the past year. His sprays definitely show off the figure’s detailed sculpt.

The Blot has been a diehard Kevin Smith fan since my junior year of high school. I can still remember where I saw Clerks for the very first time. So when it was announced Funko would be releasing Jay and Silent Bob Pop! Movies vinyl figures based on Smith and Jason Mewes’ appearance in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back I couldn’t get my pre-order in fast enough! These Jay and Silent Bob Pop! vinyl figures were instant buys the minute I saw them. They look fantastic! Snootchie bootchies!

It’s rare that a figure’s OG Edition is its third release, but I guess that’s just how the ice cream cake cone crumbles when the first two Creamy colorways were limited edition exclusives. Produced by 3DRetro, the OG Edition Creamy 5” vinyl figure comes sitting in a pool of his own creamy, melted goodness, has a limited edition run size of just 200 pieces, and will retail for $55 each at designer toy stores worldwide.

The Walking Dead Minimtes just keep coming!
