Mallrats Print by George Bletsis x Vice Press

Snootchie Bootchies! Vice Press has teamed up with artist George Bletsis to release a fantastic new movie poster for one of The Blot’s favorite films, Kevin Smith’s Mallrats. As Vice Press explained, Smith’s “films have resonated with us since we first watched them back in our teens and continue to be a source of unadulterated joy. Combining slacker culture, the ups and downs of teenage love, coming to terms with growing up, Sega and of course, Comics, Mallrats was a film that perfectly mirrored that time in our lives.”

Kevin Smith x The Hundreds Apparel Collection

How in the world did The Blot miss the news that on 4/20 The Hundreds released a killer apparel collaboration with filmmaker Kevin Smith based on his View Askew universe!?! The Blot is a HUGE fan of all of Smith’s View Askew films, including Clerks, Mallrats and Chasing Amy, and those films were a big part of my childhood / college life.  The Hundreds definitely went all out on this release.

Fans of Jay and Silent Bob will definitely love this Kevin Smith x The Hundreds Collection. It’s got Smith’s signature jorts and jerseys, and tons of t-shirts and hats based on his films and their cast of characters.  The only sad news to report is that the collection is 100% sold out on TheHundreds.com.  Thankfully, The Blot went to JayandSilentBob.com and saw they have a number of the hats, tees and hoodie from this collection still in stock. Masters of the Universe Revelation – A Netflix Original Anime Series Teaser Poster

At the 2019 Power-Con, Mattel announced it was teaming up with Netflix to release a new Masters of the Universe anime series produced by Kevin Smith!!! What’s awesome about this new series is that it will be a direct continuation of the original 1980s Masters of the Universe animated series, and not a relaunch or reimagination. How awesome is that!?! The Blot cannot wait to see what He-Man and Skeletor will look like in this new series. While not much is known about this new Netflix animated series, we did get this striking teaser poster for the streaming television show.

Clerks 25th Anniversary Screen Prints by Chris Garofalo, Studiohouse Designs and Leeloo Multiprops – All Signed by Actor Jeff Anderson!

Wednesday night The Blot headed out to see my all-time favorite writer/director Kevin Smith in touring “An Evening with Kevin Smith Q&A” show. This was my third or fourth time to attend one of Smith’s Q&A shows and he always delivers every single time! It’s amazing how many hilarious stories he has to share with his fans. I took at it as a sign that the week I saw Kevin Smith “perform” that Diamond Select Toys announced these fantastic new Jay and Silent Bob bobble heads! I have to get them now, right?

Kevin Smith can be seen weekly on the hit AMC television show Comic Book Men, where he’s always wearing some awesome Jay and Silent Bob Viewaskew gear. One of his most popular t-shirts from the show is this “BobHawks Logo” tee designed by Captain RibMan, which is a mash-up of Silent Bob and the logo of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks! Killer, right!?!
