Toy Art Gallery has teamed up with Nebulon5 to release an epic run of Scott Tolleson’s Deadbeet 6” vinyl figure! Cast in glow in the dark soft Japanese vinyl, these hand painted Deadbeets by Nebulon5 feature green, black and red spray and glow like nobody’s business. The Blot loves what Nebulon5 has been doing with Deadbeets over the past year. His sprays definitely show off the figure’s detailed sculpt.

SDCC 13 Exclusive Deadbeets by Scott Tolleson, Nebulon5 & Leecifer

It’s hard to believe it’s only been a year since since Scott Tolleson’s Deadbeet first burst on the designer art toy scene at San Diego Comic-Con 2012. Since then the character with this 7.5” full size sofubi version and the 1.5” Baby Deadbeet PVC mini figure. For its one year anniversary Scott will be releasing 3 epic versions of his zombie vegetable as San Diego Comic-Con 2013 exclusives. First up is this awesome Masters of the Universe colorway based on the evil Faker, Skeletor’s blue skinned robot that was created to look just like He-Man. The Faker Deadbeet is limited to just 5 pieces and was painted by Nebulon5.

The Candy Apple DeadBeet looks fantastic! Cast in crystal clear soft Japanese vinyl and painted by Leecifer, the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive Candy Apple Deadbeet is limited to just 10 pieces. Last but not least is the Frozen Meat Deadbeet! This unpainted ‘beet is a swirl of red and blue soft Japanese vinyl and is limited to just 30 pieces. All three versions can be purchased directly from Scott at his SDCC booth #5139.

PastHell Deadbeet Vinyl Figures by Scott Tolleson & Nebulon5

Scott Tolleson and Nebulon5 are teaming up once again for a killer painted Deadbeet release scheduled for this Friday! The PastHell Deadbeet features a cornucopia of pastel colors on the Deadbeet’s 7.5” soft Japanese vinyl body. What’s great about this release is each full size PastHell Deadbeet also includes a randomly inserted painted mini Deadbeet as well! Scott’s Deadbeet continues to win over new fans with each colorful release, and I for one can’t wait to see what he’s got in store for us next!

Tokyo Strain Deadbeet by Scott Tolleson & Nebulon5

For the second time this week Scott Tolleson will be releasing an all new Deadbeet colorway! For this release the Argyle Warrior is teaming up once again with Nebulon5 for an extra special painted Deadbeet. The Tokyo Strain Deadbeet features the classic kaiju “Tokyo” color scheme of yellow, green, black and orange (with silver eyes). Nebulon5 did a great job recreating this colorway and I love how he painted the Deadbeet’s tongue a different color. What’s really impressive is how quickly these last few Deadbeets have sold out. The last few drops sold out in mere minutes! The Blot’s really excited to see how collectors have embraced Scott’s newest creation, but it is making it hard to add a Deadbeet to your collection!

Grimace Deadbeet by Scott Tolleson & Nebulon5

The killer Deadbeet colorways just keep on coming! This time it’s another collaboration between Scott Tolleson and Nebulon5. Based on the popular McDonalds character, the Grimace Deadbeet is a metallic purple monster with bright gold eyes and tongue. While the figure alone is pretty cool, it’s the packaging that really makes this figure something special! I love Tolleson’s version of Ronald McDonald and friends that adorn the header card, and how awesome is it that Scott is wrapping each figure in an actual McDonalds cheeseburger wrapper. That’s really thinking outside the Big Mac box!

Black Root Beet by Scott Tolleson

As we get closer and closer to Thanksgiving it means we’re also getting closer and closer to The Blot’s favorite holiday…Black Friday! As always there will be some killer Black Friday toy releases and the first announcement comes from the Argyle Warrior Scott Tolleson!!! For his third Deadbeet colorway Scott has teamed up with Nebulon5 who painted these beautiful Black Friday 2012 Exclusive Black Root Beets. This sick colorway features a purple, black and red color scheme on translucent red soft Japanese vinyl. You can see the original color of the vinyl in the Black Root Beets’ eyes, and if you shine light through the figure’s backside the eyes actually glow!

Nebulon5 is really bringing some amazing customs to Designer Con 2012 next month! Along with his series of The Maxx inspired custom Karakuri vinyl figures, Neb5’s also bring this beautiful series of custom Digglers! How beautiful are these vibrant, metallic Digglers? Splurrt's Diggler is an incredibly detailed Sofubi vinyl figure, and The Blot’s really loving the blue, green, yellow and purple spray Neb5 used on them.  I also think it was a really smart choice to go simple with Diggler’s eye considering all the crazy colors on his body.

DCon 2012 Exclusive The MAXXakuri by Nebulon5

For Designer Con 2012, Nebulon5 has created a killer set of The Maxxakuri custom figures. Utilizing Grody Shogun’s Karakuri, this purple and yellow color scheme pays tribute to one of the coolest comic book characters ever…Sam Kieth’s The Maxx! Everyone who grew up in the 90’s either read Kieth’s hit comic book series from Image or watched the animated television series on MTV (or, most likely, did both). The Blot loves comic book inspired colorways, and Neb did a fantastic job recreating The Maxx’ look and feel on these 4” Karas. I’ve got a sinking suspicious these are going to go quickly at DCon.

DCon 2011 Exclusive Custom Vinyl Figures by Nebulon5

Nebulon5 has been working overtime preparing for next weekend’s Designer Con! The California artist has really taken his painting skills to the next level by applying his unique style to a huge variety kaiju inspired vinyl figures. The Blot especially loves the Neb5’s color scheme for these custom figures, which includes tons of pinks, reds, purples and greens. There’s definitely a little something for everyone, including a Boss Carrion, Mongolions, Rose Vampires, a Rose Vampire DX, Miltons and so much more!
