SDCC 2017 Exclusive Conan O’Brien Pop! Vinyl Figure Series 3 by Funko
For the third summer in a row, Conan O’Brien and his show CONAN will be setting up shop at San Diego Comic-Con 2017! To commemorate Conan’s summer solstice to Comic-Con, O’Brien will be teaming up with Funko to release a third series of Conan O’Brien Pop! vinyl figures. Created by Funko for TBS, a division of Turner, this year's collectible figure designs include Justice League Movie The Flash Conan, a Star Wars Jedi Conan, a Game of Thrones White Walker Conan and a Spider-Man Conan (from Spider-Man: Homecoming). In addition, there will be a limited edition figure entitled, “MonoConan”, which will only be available through activations and giveaways taking place in San Diego.
During the week of SDCC, CONAN will be taped at San Diego's historic Spreckels Theatre on Wednesday, July 19 – Saturday, July 22. Episodes will air that Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) on all TBS and will be available across TBS and Team Coco's digital, mobile and VOD platforms the day after airing.
During this year's Comic-Con, these new 2017 Conan Pop! Vinyl figures will be given away to audience members following each San Diego show. While the bulk of the figures will be given away to live show attendees, fans will also have a chance to obtain one of the figures through social activations and sponsor and partner programs.

SDCC 15 Exclusive Conan O’Brien Pop! Vinyl Figure Series by Funko
It turns out the Bryan Fuller Pop! isn’t the only huge celebrity Pop! Funko will be releasing at San Diego Comic-Con 2015! Conan O’Brien announced earlier this week that he was teaming up with Funko to release a new series of pop culture Pop! figures based the popular nighttime talk show host. This amazing, super limited SDCC exclusive series includes Conan O’Brien, Batman Conan, Zombie Conan and Conan’s Monster. How awesome is Batman Conan!?!
Each San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Exclusive Conan O’Brien Pop! vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, features one point of articulation and comes packaged in a full color window box. It’s a little unclear how these will be distributed, but it sounds like they will be released at Conan’s SDCC panels and not at Funko’s SDCC booth. Guess we’ll find out soon!

Jimmy Fallon Returns To NBC As Host Of Late Night

It has been a long four years since the initial announcement of Leno’s scheduled retirement as rumors mounted that Leno was unhappy about his already planned exit and was hoping to either extend his Tonight Show run or move to a rival station. Many names have been floated around as the eventual successor to O’Brien on Late Night, with Fallon’s name repeatedly being mentioned as a front runner based upon his popular run on Saturday Night Live and his stint as co-host of SNL’s Weekend Update with Tina Fey.

While Fallon has been The Blot’s favorite Saturday Night Live cast members in recent years, I am worried that his unique style of delivery might be found a little grating when on television 5 nights a week. Hopefully his transition to behind Late Night’s desk will be a smooth one and much more successful than the comedian’s movie career which pretty much died on impact after Taxi and Fever Pitch bombed in theaters.
