DCon 2020 Exclusive Bootleg Gold Pimp2-D2 Resin Figure by Lou Pimentel x Manly Art x DKE Toys

Designer Con 2020 is going virtual and so is DKE Toys!  As they do for all of the big conventions, DKE Toys will be releasing a ton of killer exclusives.  Over the past few years at New York Comic Con, artist Lou Pimentel has hand painted approximately 20 different card backs in watercolor. That series is called Vintage Gold and each had a vintage style toy glued to the art for that vintagey action figure feel. For SDCC this year, DKE Toys “bootlegged” their own series with Sucklord and Phantom Starkiller. Now here is Lou’s version of Manly Art’s iconic Pimp2-D2. However, the cardbacks are printed (not hand painted) so DKE can offer a lower price point

DCon 2019 Exclusive KRBtronic Planet of the Apes Figures with Hand Illustrated Card Backs by Manly Art x DKE Toys

At Designer Con 2019 Manly Art (aka Jason Chalker) continues his fantastic KRBtronic series, this time utilizing Super7’s Planet of the Apes 3.75” ReAction figures. Each figure comes packaged on a 9”x12” blister card with an original piece of hand drawn artwork in Jason’s signature black light KRBtronic style. The vintage style Planet of the Apes figure is then glued to the art to create this unique one of a kind piece of art. Only 24 of these one of a kind pieces were made, and they will be available for purchase at the DKE Toys DCon booth #2922 for $135 each.

SDCC 2019 Exclusive KRBtronic Star Wars Figures with Hand Illustrated Card Backs by Manly Art x DKE Toys

Check out these epic San Diego Comic-Con 2019 Exclusive KRBtronic Star Wars Figures with hand illustrated card backs by artist Manly Art (aka Jason Chalker)! For this release, Chalker took 24 of the ‘90s Power of the Force Kenner Star Wars action figures and created an original illustration for each one in a very distinct day glow Jack Kirby style. These figures were known for being very “bulky”, so the Jack Kirby style fits really well.

Each KRBtronic hand illustrated card back includes a matching Star Wars Power of the Force 3.75” action figure and comes signed by the artist. Only 24 of these one of a kind pieces were made, and they will be available for purchase at the DKE Toys SDCC booth #2643 for $135 each.

One of DKE Toys coolest Star Wars bootleg exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con 2018 is Manly Art’s third Bounty Hunter Resin Figure Series which features original painted card backs. These bootleg resin Momaw Nadon aka Hammerhead figures are cast in translucent green resin with glitter throughout and come packaged on a blister card, with each backing card an original one of a kind portrait painting of the beloved Cantia background character. SDCC 15 Exclusive Pimp2-D2’s Big Score Pimp Speeder by Manly Art

Manly Art and DKE Toys are proud to announce the San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Exclusive Pimp2-D2’s Pimp Speeder custom vehicle! This SDCC release features a slick purple paint job with custom orange tinted wind screen, custom seats, and 3 different hood design decals for you to choose from. Now Pimp2-D2 can float along in style with his personal chauffeur on the Pimp Speeder’s Pimp-Glide Suspension on his never-ending quest to make the galaxy fly as can be! There’s even a compartment for storing pimp canes, pimp hat, weapons and anything else a pimpin’ droid might need. While the R2 figure is not included in this set, it does come with an exclusive chauffeur figure.

Guzu Gallery presents Untitled: A Lowbrow / Pop Surrealism Group Art Show

This spring, Guzu Gallery will be presenting its very first artist's choice group art show. What distinguishes this event from Guzu's previous group shows is the absence of a specific pop culture theme. Instead, each artist was asked to create artwork that does not feature the usual pop culture suspects. The lowbrow aesthetic of the gallery's previous shows will be familiar, but this go-round, each art piece will be unique to its creator's imagination!

Manly Art is releasing the second colorway of his popular C-3P-Ho Star Wars bootleg resin figure at New York Comic-Con 2014, and it’s a beauty! The second toy from the cult droidsploitation film “Pimp2-D2's Big Score,” C-3P-Ho (aka See-Threepeeho) is a pleasure droid manufactured by Cybot Galactica and has become Pimp2-D2's go-to droid. The New York Comic Con 2014 Exclusive C-3P-Ho resin figure by Manly Art stands 3.75” tall, feature a translucent orange cape and 5 points of articulation. NYCC 14 Exclusive “Hip Hop Trooper” Star Wars Bootleg Action Figure by Tenacious Toys & Co.

Check out this amazing New York Comic Con 2014 Exclusive Hip Hop Trooper bootleg Star Wars action figure! A toy so awesome it took the combined skills of five creative minds to pull it off. Based on the real life Stormtrooper cosplayer Hip Hop Trooper (with his permission), this 3.75” action figure was created by Tenacious Toys, Kris Dulfer, Manly Art, Small Angry Monster and Sidekick Labs. “Children of the 80s: An Art Exhibition Celebrating Cartoons & Toys from the Raddest Decade Ever!” presented by Guzu Gallery

For the generation of children who grew up in the so-called "Decade of Excess", everything that was important about the 80s, everything that mattered, happened on Saturday mornings! Forget the Cold War and the war against drugs, Saturday mornings in the 80s were all about cartoons and toy commercials. Every cartoon had a toy line and every toy line had its cartoon. It was a magical era for sure, and Guzu Gallery intends to serve up a slice of that nostalgia this summer at their group art show entitled “Children of the 80s”. Join Guzu Gallery this Friday, August 1st, as they celebrate the cartoons and toys from the raddest decade ever!

“Children of the 80s” includes artwork inspired by such 80s classics as Jem and the Holograms, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Strawberry Shortcake, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, G.I. Joe, Inspector Gadget, Transformers, Garbage Pail Kids and so much more by artists Breanna Boone, Half-Human, Dan Brereton, Elisa Wikey, Isaak Ramos, Jason Chalker, Justin DeVine, Katrin Muir, Mark Sarmel, Nathan Walker, and Patrick Wong.
