“The Desk of Mr. Stark” Iron Man Screen Print by Rob Loukotka

“The Desk of Mr. Stark” Marvel's Iron Man Screen Print by Rob Loukotka

Artist Rob Loukotka recently dropped this awesome “The Desk of Mr. Stark” screen print featuring the hypothetical desk of Marvel’s Iron Man! What’s amazing about this design is all the time Rob put into this fantastic image. By all counts, Loukotka spent over 50 hours adding fun little Easter eggs and details from Iron Man 1, 2 and 3. Stark’s Desk features items like the Mark 3 suit and faceplate, Tony’s original arc reactor from the cave, and so much more! Can you spot them all?

“The Desk of Mr. Stark” by Rob Loukotka is a 36”x12” Marvel’s Iron Man signed and numbered 2 color screen print. Limited to just 250 pieces, this huge print is currently available for purchase at the FringeFocus online store for just $45.

The Avengers Cosbaby Mini Figure Series

Marvel Avengers Assemble Cosbaby Series - Iron Man [Mark V], Tony Stark, Thor, Loki, Captain America and the Red Skull

To celebrate the launch of The Avengers movie from Marvel Studio in 2012, Hot Toys is releasing the Marvel Avengers Assemble Cosbaby Series! Featuring characters from Iron Man 2, Thor and the upcoming Captain America: The First Avenger, the Avengers Assemble Cosbaby Series includes Iron Man [Mark V], Tony Stark, Thor, Loki, Captain America and the Red Skull. The Blot’s been wondering when we’d get another super hero movie series from Hot Toys, and this Avengers line up definitely doesn’t disappoint! But do we really need more Iron Man Cosbaby figures after 2 full Iron Man series?

To be honest, I half expected to see a Green Lantern movie series, but these will do just nicely instead! No word yet on when these 3” CosBaby figures will be hitting store shelves, but I would imagine it’ll happen sometime before the end of the summer. Each figure comes packed on a 4-color blister card and will retail for around $10.

Iron Man 2 Iron Man Mark VI & War Machine 100% Be@rbricks

The newest 100% Be@rbrick Blind Box Series, Series 20, is currently on sale in stores worldwide. While The Blot has yet to find any Series 20 blind boxes locally, I’m on the lookout for them because of one specific reason…it ties in with Marvel’s Iron Man 2! Best of all, not only does Series 20 include an Iron Man Mark VI Be@rbrick, but Medicom also included a secret chase Iron Man 2 Be@rbrick, a War Machine variant figure. Don’t these figures look great?

SDCC 2010 Exclusive Iron Man Mark VI Mighty Mugg with Flip-Up Visor

The Blot was starting to get concerned when Hasbro failed to mention its San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs. Thankfully that changed yesterday when the toy company updated its SDCC exclusives list! Hasbro has been working very closely with Tony Stark and Stark Industries to create the ultra-hip vinyl collectible Marvel Universe Iron Man 2 Mighty Mugg figure. Styled after Iron Man’s Mark VI armored suit, the figure features a retractable visor on its helmet and is highlighted in premium commemorative foil packaging.

Each San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Iron Man Mark VI with Flip-Up Visor will retail for $15.99 and be available for purchase at Hasbro’s SDCC booth #3329 at Comic-Con. A limited number of Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs will be available on HasbroToyShop.com after the convention.

Mystery Chase James “Rhodey” Rhodes in the Iron Man Mark II Armor CosBaby by Hot Toys

While playing around on eBay this past weekend The Blot finally caught a glimpse of the Iron Man 2 CosBaby Series mystery chase figure! The secret is out, and it’s a James “Rhodey” Rhodes in the Iron Man Mark II Armor with a flippable mask. I honestly had no idea who Hot Toys was going to choose for the Iron Man 2 mystery chase, and I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised.

Iron Man 2 Metal Variant Poster by Tyler Stout

Mondo Tees - Iron Man 2 Metal Variant Poster by Tyler Stout
It’s rare that The Blot gets really blown away by a release, but I was when I saw the photos of Tyler Stout’s limited edition 24″x36″ Iron Man 2 Metal Variant Poster on Mondo Tee’s blog. This poster looks amazing! It’s just too bad I’ll probably never see one of these in person. Here’s hoping Stout puts a few of these up for sale on his website.

Mondo Tees - Iron Man 2 Metal Variant Poster by Tyler Stout
If you’ve been following the Mondo Tees blog, then you know they’ve recently renovated their storefront. Mondo officially reopens tomorrow, June 4th, and to celebrate the remodel they will be releasing the all metal variant of Tyler Stout’s Iron Man 2 poster. These are just sick posters, and Tyler even stopped by D&L to sign them! You can see the original two versions of Tyler Stout’s Iron Man 2 screen prints here.

Mondo Tees - Iron Man 2 Metal Variant Poster by Tyler Stout
These IM2 metal variants will strictly be an in-store exclusive, meaning they can only be purchased in person at Mondo’s Austin storefront, and have a limited edition run size of just 65 pieces. There will be no phone orders for this release and Mondo will not be shipping these to anyone. Doors open up at 5pm tomorrow, so be sure to get there early for one of these amazing posters.

Iron Man 2 Kubrick Series

While Iron Man 2 is already out in theaters, fans will have to wait until November 2010 for the Iron Man 2 Kubrick series from Medicom Toy and Marvel Comics! This six figure blind box series includes Iron Man Mark IV, Iron Man Mark V, Iron Man Mark VI, War Machine, Whiplash and Black Widow.

Iron Man 2 Kubrick Series - Iron Man Mark IV, Iron Man Mark V, Iron Man Mark VI, War Machine, Whiplash & Black Widow
The Blot's a little confused as to why Marvel would allow the production of Iron Man 2 Kubricks and Minimates, since aren’t Minimates a rip-off of Kubricks? But I guess the more options the better, right?

I haven’t found any mention of the ratios for this series or its secret chase figures, but I’ve got a feeling we’ll be seeing at least one. Maybe we’ll be getting a Pepper Potts or Nick Fury Kubrick figure. The Iron Man 2 Kubrick series goes on sale November 2010 and will retail for around $10-11 per blind box.

Iron Man 2 Screen Print by Mike Saputo

To commemorate the exclusive screening of Iron Man 2 at the Alamo Drafthouse on April 26th, the Alamo Drafthouse commissioned two awesome looking movie screen prints, one by Tyler Stout (seen here) and the other by Mike Saputo. While Stout’s Iron Man 2 print feels much more like a movie poster to me, I really dig Saputo’s screen print because of the way it looks and feels like something you would see on a comic book cover.

Iron Man 2 Screen Print by Mike Saputo
The Blot especially really likes the way Saputo depicts Iron Man and War Machine in the throes of battle against Whiplash and his electric whips. Mike Saputo’s Iron Man 2 print measures 24”x36” and is a 6 color screen print, including red and gold metallic inks. The run size and price of Mike’s tribute to the Armored Avenger is currently unknown.

While these prints went on sale at Mondo Tees yesterday (in store only), they will eventually go on sale at the Mondo Tees online store and directly from the artist.

Iron Man 2 premiers in theaters on May 7, 2010.

Iron Man 2 Screen Print by Tyler Stout

To commemorate the exclusive screening of Iron Man 2 at the Alamo Drafthouse on April 26th, the Alamo Drafthouse commissioned two very cool looking limited edition movie screen prints. The first is by Tyler Stout and it’s a beauty! Tyler has consistently produced some of the finest movie screen prints over the past two years, and his Iron Man 2 print is no exception (and wouldn’t it look killer next to his Lost screen print “LOST”?).

Iron Man 2 Screen Print by Tyler Stout
As a comic book fan, this Stout Iron Man 2 screen print is a must get. I love the way he was able to highlight every main character in the film without taking away from the print’s central figure, Iron Man. I’m also really digging the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo Tyler included in the top left corner right under Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow.

Iron Man 2 Variant Screen Print by Tyler Stout
There are actually two versions of Tyler Stout’s 24”x36” Iron Man 2 screen print (which is freaking huge by the way). The standard version is a 6 color screen print with metallics, was printed on cream paper, has an edition size of 515 and sells for $40 each. The glow in the dark variant Iron Man 2 screen print features 7 colors, including glow inks! The Variant Iron Man 2 screen print is has an even small run size of 130 and will retail for $80 each.

While these prints went on sale at Mondo Tees yesterday (in store only), they will eventually go on sale online at the Mondo Tees online store and at Tyler Stout’s website.

Iron Man 2 premiers in theaters on May 7, 2010. The 2nd Iron Man 2 screen print by Mike Saputo can be seen here.

Iron Man 2 Final One Sheet Movie Posters

I know The Blot seems to be talking about Kick-Ass and The Losers non-stop lately, but don’t let that fool you. Even I know that THE comic book movie of the summer of 2010, and quite possibly THE movie of 2010 all together, is Iron Man 2. After the even larger than expected success of the first Iron Man movie, critics are already predicting Iron Man 2 to gross an insane amount of money (we’re not talking Avatar type numbers, but big nonetheless).

Iron Man 2 Final Theatrical One Sheet Movie Poster B
As you can see, Iron Man 2’s final theatrical one sheet movie posters are your typical posters. I’m a little disappointed they went with something so basic as a collage of the film’s cast, but I guess you don’t really have to push the boundaries when you’re pushing a pretty standard super hero movie. Everyone knows what to expect going in, and all we really care about is killer special effects and a menacing glare from Mickey Rourke (who was surprisingly left off entirely from the poster below).

Iron Man 2 CosBaby Vinyl Figures by Hot Toys

Hot Toys recently announced the release of their Iron Man 2 CosBaby vinyl figure series, and it’s amazing how much this series blows the original Iron Man CosBaby series out of the water. While Iron Man 1’s CosBaby figures were cool, it only included five variations of the Iron Man armor and one Tony Stark figure. Thankfully the seven figure Iron Man 2 CosBaby series includes four all new characters (and only three Iron Man/Tony Stark figures)!

Iron Man 2 Cosbaby Series includes Iron Man Mark IV, War Machine, Tony Stark in Mark IV Armor, Whiplash, Iron Man Mark VI, Black Widow and Nick Fury. Each Iron Man 2 CosBaby stands 3 inches tall, comes packaged on a 4-color blister card and retails for around $10.

Iron Man 2 Black Widow One Sheet Movie Poster

Yesterday, it was announced that Paramount would be releasing an exclusive Black Widow Iron Man 2 one sheet movie poster at WonderCon this weekend. How cool is that!?! If you’re in the San Francisco area, head down to WonderCon and pick The Blot up one of these awesome posters! I love the idea of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and this poster just reinforces that that feeling.

Iron Man 2 Black Widdow One Sheet Movie Poster - Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow
I don’t know how the Black Widow fits into the storyline of Iron Man 2, but I really hope her role is larger than Nick Fury’s was in the original Iron Man!

Iron Man 2 debuts in theaters on May 7, 2010.

New Extended Iron Man 2 Trailer

This latest extended Iron Man 2 trailer has me all kinds of giddy. It’s just plain awesome! Seeing War Machine in action was pretty cool, but what really blew me away was the inclusion of Iron Man’s suitcase suit. I thought it couldn’t be done in live action, but Jon Favreau did! Iron Man 2 is going to be pure movie magic, and it’s just too bad we have to wait a few more months, until the summer of 2010, to finally see it.

Iron Man 2 premieres May 2 in theaters everywhere.

SDCC 2010 Exclusive Iron Man Mark VI with Flip-Up Visor - Toy Fair 2010 Sneak Peek

One of the biggest headlines coming out of Toy Faire 2010, at least to The Blot, was that Hasbro would continuing its line of Mighty Muggs action figures. Hasbro already announced it would have two San Diego Comic Con 2010 exclusive Mighty Muggs, a Transformers Mighty Mugg and a Marvel Mighty Mugg. While we don’t know what figure the Transformers Mighty Mugg will be yet, we do know the SDCC 2010 exclusive Marvel Mighty Mugg will be an Iron Man 2 Iron Man Mark VI with flip-up visor Mighty Mugg.

Hasbro - San Diego Comic Con 2010 Exclusive Iron Man 2 Iron Man Mark VI with Flip-Up Visor Sneak Peek
The Blot would like to thank MarvelousNews.com for the awesome picture above! Like last year’s SDCC exclusive Wolverine Mighty Mugg with retractable claws, the Marvel exclusive this year will have moving parts. Let’s hope this year's exclusive Transformers Mighty Mugg won’t be just another metallic repaint of a previously released figure like last year's TF MM exclusive. As always, more details to come as they become available.

TRU Exclusive Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs

Thanks to Mighty Muggs Forum member rastaman619, we now have confirmation that Hasbro has in fact released those awesome looking Iron Man Might Muggs from SDCC ’09 as a tie-in to the upcoming live action feature film Iron Man 2! (link and link). Sadly, the Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs Wave only includes two figures, War Machine and Iron Man Mark VI with metallic paint, but they both look pretty sick!

Toys R Us Exclusive Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs Wave - War Machine & Iron Man Mark VI with Metallic Paint Mighty Muggs
The Iron Man Mark VI Mighty Mugg is basically an updated version of the 2008 SDCC exclusive Iron Man Mighty Mugg, but unlike the Optimus Prime Mighty Mugg and the 2009 SDCC exclusive Optimus Prime Mighty Mugg, there are a ton of differences between these two figures. Plus, the SDCC exclusive Iron Man is on the pricey side, so this is a nice alternative for collectors who missed out on the first Mighty Mugg Iron Man movie tie-in. As for the War Machine Mighty Mugg, he looks awesome! The Blot loves his shoulder cannons, and I can’t wait to get my hands on one!

The Iron Man 2 Mighty Muggs Wave is a Toys R Us exclusive and is already hitting store shelves on the west coast. The Blot might have to stop by my local TRU here in Houston this weekend to see if they’ve made their way to Texas yet. I believe the War Machine Mighty Mugg is rarer than the Iron Man Mark VI figure, but both will retail for around $11.99 each.

Iron Man 2 Teaser Promo Movie Poster featuring Whiplash

Wow, that’s all The Blot really knows to say about this latest Iron Man 2 teaser one sheet promotional poster featuring Mickey Rourke as the Russian villain Whiplash. This is our first official close-up look of Rourke as Whiplash and he looks awesome!

Iron Man 2 Theatrical One Sheet Teaser Movie Poster featuring Mickey Rourke as Whiplash
To be honest, the fanboy inside me had some initial concerns that director Jon Favreau had taken too many liberties with Whiplash’s look and strayed a little too far from the source material. But let’s be honest, it’s not like Whiplash is some iconic Marvel character tied that to that old 70’s styled purple and black outfit. Besides, the character’s already been given an updated/grittier look in the current Marvel U., so why not give him a look in the movie that fits with this new universe being created by Marvel Studios.

The second live action Iron Man adaptation is scheduled to hit theaters May 2010.

Iron Man 2 International Teaser Movie Poster

Following up last week’s release of the first Iron Man 2 US teaser movie poster, which featured our first look at the new War Machine armor, comes the first official Iron Man 2 international teaser one sheet movie poster. The Blot’s not sure why Paramount/Marvel chose not to include Don Cheadle’s War Machine in this poster, but it’s pretty obviously they’re playing up Robert Downey, Jr.’s international stardom to really push this film. I think I speak for all comic book fans when I say I’m really looking forward to Iron Man 2!

Iron Man 2 Teaser Promo Movie Poster featuring War Machine

The internet was a buzz yesterday after Paramount released a brand new Iron Man 2 teaser one sheet promotion poster featuring the first appearance of War Machine. I don’t know why, but The Blot’s always been a huge James “Rhodey” Rhodes, so I am really looking forward to the character’s expanded role in Iron Man 2.

Iron Man 2 Teaser One Sheet Promo Movie Poster featuring War Machine
Rhodey/War Machine is a one of the few second tier Marvel characters that has developed a small yet loyal fan base, so it’s great to see him front and center of a huge summer blockbuster. Marvel has done a great job fleshing out the War Machine character over the years, and I have a feeling he’s going to finally make the A list after Iron Man 2 hits theaters.

I’m still not sure how I feel about Don Cheadle in the role (Terrence Howard just screamed Rhodey to me), but once he’s strapped into War Machine’s silver and grey armor I’ve got a feeling he’s going to win over even the most cynical comic book fan.

The second live action Iron Man adaptation is scheduled to hit theaters May 2010.
