Today, Bottleneck Gallery is releasing three different Batman themed prints, including this awesome “Rogues Gallery” art print by Dayne Henry! The Regular Edition is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for $50, while the Variant is limited to 25 pieces and will retail for $55. Funko’s NYCC 2020 Exclusives Part 3 – Marvel, DC Comics & More!

New York Comic Con 2020 may be canceled, but that doesn’t mean the exclusives have been. Funko will be holding another one of its infamous Virtual Cons in place of NYCC this year, and releasing a ton of vinyl figure exclusives. Titans Television Series Season 2 One Sheet Poster by DC Universe

Although no one expects the DC Universe streaming service to be around much longer once Warner Bros launches its larger, all-encompassing HBO+ streaming service, it is exciting to see the release of a second season for Titans! The Blot’s a huge Teen Titans fan, and I can’t wait to see all the new characters popping up in the show’s second season, including Superboy, Deathstroke, Jericho, Ravager, and Doctor Light. It’s just too bad Swamp Thing got the ax so quickly! Which new DC Comics character are you most looking forward to seeing in Titans Season 2?

The New Batman Adventures & Superman: The Animated Series Screen Prints by Scott Derby x Bottleneck Gallery

While The Blot was out traveling for work last week, Bottleneck Gallery released two fantastic DC Comics animated screen prints by Scott Derby! The two posters are based on the classic ‘90s television cartoons The New Batman Adventures and Superman: The Animated Series. These are Derby’s first print releases with BNG and he absolutely killed it. Bottleneck Gallery explained that “Scott’s prints perfectly capture the aesthetics of both shows, and feature so many classic heroes and villains!” The Blot is especially impressed how he was able to include all these characters from these two iconic shows without making the posters feel crowded.

“The New Batman Adventures” and “Superman: The Animated Series” by Scott Derby are 12”x36” hand numbered DC Comics screen prints. Each print is limited to just 100 pieces and retailed for $40.

Batman: Black & White Nightwing Statue by Jim Lee x DC Comics

Batman: The Animated Series Screen Prints by Dave Perillo x Mondo

This Saturday, September 17th, is Batman Day! And what better way to celebrate DC Comics' Dark Knight of Gotham City than with a couple of new posters based on what many consider to be the quintessential version of Batman, Batman: The Animated Series and its follow-up series The New Batman Adventures. What’s really got The Blot excited for this release is Mondo is working on it with one of my all time favorite artists, Dave Perillo! While each print looks amazing on its own, I’m seriously blown away seeing them next to each other. I love how Perillo was able to take all of Batman’s many supporting characters and rogues and highlight their appearances throughout the two animated series.

Batman: The Animated Series Wave 5 6” Action Figures

DC Comics’ celebration of Batman’s 75th Anniversary cannot be stopped! It continues with a super-sized fifth wave of their awesome new line of Batman: The Animated Series 6” action figures! This television themed toy line is based on Bruce Timm’s original character designs from Batman: The Animated Series and the New Batman Adventures. Each figure is based on Mattel’s original 4.5” tall with limited articulation figures, and been enlarged to a whopping 6” scale (and 24 points of articulation).

Batman: The Animated Series Wave 4 includes Nightwing, Bane, The Scarecrow, The Mad Hatter, and a Batman: The Animated Movie Mask of The Phantasm 2 Pack featuring Batman and The Phantasm. DC Comics Announces This December Is Darwyn Cooke Variant Cover Month!

This December 2014, most of DC Comics’ releases will come with a limited edition Darwyn Cooke variant cover! The Blot is a huge fan of Cooke’s unique art style and his simplistic take on super hero comic books. It has that retro, old school vibe that just makes you happy! Even better still, these variant covers will be in a landscape format so you larger view of each cover.  These covers really harken back to the golden age of the DC Universe, a time The Blot can't get enough of.

Are these awesome or what!?! My favorite hands down is the Teen Titans cover featuring the team’s original ‘60s line up. Oh how I miss those simpler times. It’s too bad DC’s New 52 reboot didn’t do a better job reinventing the Titans franchise. I will say, the announcement of a Darwyn Cooke variant cover month just makes me angry that the new Booster Gold series hasn’t started yet. Oh how I’d love to see Darwyn draw a Booster cover!

DC Comics Greg Capullo Batman Designer Series Wave 2 Action Figures

DC Collectibles’ Greg Capullo Designer Series is without a doubt the best action figure line the company has released since DC Comics had its “New 52” soft reboot a few years ago. Capullo has undeniably left his mark on the Dark Knight since he took over art duties on DC’s flagship book and DC Collectibles has done an amazing job transforming his art into highly articulated action figures. After releasing Wave 1 (Batman, Nightwing, Talon and The Riddler) last month, DC Comics has announced a second wave to be released in October! Wave 2 will include Thrasher Armor Batman, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze and Red Hood.

Each action figure in the DC Comics Greg Capullo Batman Designer Series toy line stands approximately 6.7” tall, features multiple points of articulation, and comes packaged on a blister card. Batman, Robin & Nightwing JellyBot Resin Figures by The Jelly Empire

Earlier this month Selina Briggs of The Jelly Empire was asked to participate in a pretty cool designer toy and comic/illustration art exhibit at the Medialia ... Rack And Hamper Gallery in NYC. For the group show Selina created these awesome DC Comics Jelly Bots! The Jelly Empire has been creating custom superhero Jelly Bots for a while, but I especially love this Batman Family wave that includes Batman, Robin and Nightwing. As far as The Blot knows this is the first Nightwing Jelly Bot ever created and it looks fantastic. Contact Medialia for availability of these little, hand painted resin figures.

NYCC 13 Exclusive New 52 Nightwing & Metallic Batman Beyond DC Comics Pop! Vinyl Figures

Fugitive Toys and Funko have teamed up to release three awesome New York Comic Con 2013 Exclusive DC Comics Pop! vinyl figures! My personal favorite is the New 52 Nightwing Pop! which features Dick Grayson in his new black and red costume. This figure comes in the Standard Edition and a super limited edition shiny Metallic Variant that I know will send Funko collectors scrambling to get their hands on! There’s also a NYCC 2013 Exclusive Metallic Red Eyed Batman Beyond Pop! that looks pretty cool as well. While the pre-sale of these three figures is already sold out, any remaining stock will be available via the Fugitive Toys online store after the convention.
