Next week at Five Points Festival 2019, Tenacious Toys will be releasing three different Creamsicle Danger Dog resin figures by artist NEMO. Has Tenacious Toys’ mascot Danger ever looked so delicious in these red, orange and purple colorways? Each pup stands 2.25” tall and was cast in resin and painted by Dead Hand Toys. Individually bagged with header cards, these three Creamsicle Danger Dog colorways are limited to just 10 pieces each. Danger Dog OG Edition 5” Vinyl Figure by Tenacious Toys

One of the coolest debuts at last weekend’s Five Points Festival 2018 in Brooklyn, New York was this production vinyl figure of Tenacious Toys’ mascot, Danger Dog! After a number of killer 2.5” Danger Dog resin releases, Benny has transformed Tenacious Toys’ Danger Dog into a fantastic 5” vinyl figure. Inspired by the pitbull logo created for Tenacious Toys by Playful Gorilla, and sculpted by Mike “NEMO” Mendez, this exclusive little pitbull companion sits faithfully by your side. Five Points Fest 2018 Exclusive Bluenose Danger Bulldog Resin Figure by NEMO x Tenacious Toys

Tenacious Toys has teamed up with NEMO to release a Five Points Festival 2018 exclusive colorway of TT’s store mascot, Danger! The Five Points Fest exclusive Bluenose Danger Dog stands 2” and is limited to just 3 pieces. Based on an illustration by Playful Gorilla, Danger was sculpted and painted by Mike “NEMO” Mendez. Collectors can purchase one this weekend at the Tenacious Toys FPF booth #234 for $40. Blanks will also be available for $20 each.

Chinese New Year Edition Danger Bulldog Resin Figure by Tenacious Toys

To celebrate the Chinese New Year, Tenacious Toys has released a limited edition Red Variant of their store mascot, Danger! As Tenacious Toys explained, “red is an auspicious color for the Chinese, so we had this little dude cast in red and bagged with a festive and totally on-brand header card fashioned after the lucky red envelopes handed out this time of year.”

Satanikids Rocky Resin Figure by Abe Lincoln Jr

After debuting at New York Comic Con 2017, Tenacious Toys has just put up for pre-sale Abe Lincoln Jr’s Rocky, the first figure in Abe’s new line of Satanikids resin figures! What’s great about this release is that it’s a perfect 3D rendering of Abe Lincoln Jr’s signature cartoony art style. Sculpt by Mike “NEMO” Mendez and cast by Jacob JAMS, Rocky stands 2.5” tall and is limited to just 13 pieces. Each figure also includes a free Satanikids comic. The Blot would love to read that one! Five Points Festival Debut Resin Is King Blind Box Series 4 by Tenacious Toys x Dead Hand Toys

Tenacious Toys and Dead Hand Toys’ fantastic Resin Is King blind box series returns this weekend at the Five Points Festival in New York City with a new line-up artists and figures!!! Resin Is King Series 4 will make its debut at the Tenacious Toys FPF booth #229 and includes the impressive work of 11 resin casting artists from the US and UK: Renone, TobyArt, UME Toys, Forces of Dorkness, Eyehart Toys, Pickman's Vinyls, Leecifer, One-Eyed Girl, Kyle Kirwan, Dollar Slice Bootlegs and Abe Lincoln Jr (with sculpting by NEMO and casting by Jacob JAMS).

Resin Is King Series 4 consists of 110 blind boxes, with each artist contributing 10 figures in one sculpt. Many variations of each figure will be available blind box style, including chase color variants, alternate colorways and many hand painted details. Golden Tickets will also be hidden randomly in various boxes, which will get the recipients free resin figures, discounts in online stores, and more.

Each Resin Is King blind box will retail for $30, and Tenacious Toys will have samples available for swapping at their Five Points Fest booth. Any remaining Resin Is King Series 4 blind boxes will go up for sale in the Tenacious Toys online store after the comic con.

Tenacious Toys Pitbull Mascot Danger Blue Edition Resin Figure

Tenacious Toys announced this week that it will be releasing a collectible resin figure of its awesome pitbull mascot, Danger! Based on the Tenacious Toys logo designed by Playful Gorilla, this awesome new figure made its debut in the Resin Is King Series 3 in various pitbull appropriate colors. Now for its first standalone colorway, Danger is being released in a Tenacious Toys blue color scheme based on Playful Gorilla’s original image.

Each Blue Edition Danger Resin Figure stands 2.25” tall and comes boxed with a 3” Tenacious sticker. Sculpted by NEMO and molded, cast, finished and painted by Brian Ahlbeck of Dead Hand Toys, Danger is an open run in this Tenacious Blue colorway but there are only 30 available currently. Tenacious Toys has released the third killer colorway of Mike “NEMO” Mendez’ Tenacious Tiki figure! Check out the Jade Edition Tenacious Tiki, which looks just like a real piece of jade! And just like real jade jewelry, each piece will be slightly different and unique. NYCC 16 Debut Resin Is King Blind Box Series 3 by Tenacious Toys

After way too many years, Tenacious Toys’ epic Resin Is King blind box series is back!!! This all-resin, all handmade series of art collectibles features pieces by 10 of the most talented artists working in resin today. This exciting new series will debut this weekend at the Tenacious Toys New York Comic Con booth #309 in The Block! Each of the 10 artists in the series has submitted 10 pieces to be placed into 100 total blind boxes.

The artist roster for the Resin Is King Series 3 includes Magitarius, Jacob JAMS, Angry Artist, Taylored Curiosities, Forces of Dorkness, UME Toys, The Jelly Empire, Argonaut Resins, Dead Hand Toys and Mike NEMO Mendez. Every blind box will include a 3” resin figure, a sticker and an insert card. A few boxes will also contain Golden Tickets good for discounts in the participating artists' shops, in the Tenacious Toys shop, and other free resin prizes.

Each Resin Is King blind box will be $30 and they will be available exclusively through Tenacious Toys. At NYCC there will be a few pre-opened figures on display which can be swapped with figures purchased at the booth - if you like one you see in their case better, Tenacious Toys will give you that one and stick the one you pulled into the case. Leftover blind boxes will be made available online in the week following NYCC.

NYCC 14 Exclusive John Grayson x Nemo Street Spirit Resin Figure

SubUrban Vinyl has announced the second figure in their new Street Spirit Artist Series, which features Nemo’s killer resin figure customized by some of the biggest names in the world of designer art toys, and it will be released exclusively at New York Comic Con 2014! NYCC 12 Exclusive Space Junk Destroyers, Dust Mitez & Two-Faced Rotten Applez by Bad Applez Inc.

OsiRisORion and NeMo of Bad Applez Inc. have put together a crazy line-up of original custom resin figures for New York Comic-Con 2012. Along with some awesome one off Space Junk Destroyers and Two-Faced Rotten Applez, NYCC 2012 marks the world debut of BAI’s new Dust Mitez and Crabby Mitez!!!

The Blot’s been waiting for the release of a Dust Mitez figure for years, and from the look of this new figure it’s been well worth the wait. I was lucky enough to score a hand drawn Dust Mitez sticker from Nemo and Tenacious Toys a number of years ago and fell in love with the character. Resin is King Blind Box Series 2

The Resin is King Series is back and better than ever! Tenacious Toys and Dead Hand Toys have teamed up once again to curate an incredible new “Resin is King” blind box series featuring 16 talented artists. For Resin is King Series 2, each artist was asked to develop a new sub-3" resin figure and submit 10 pieces to the series using that sculpt. That’s 160 figures in all!!! The Blot honestly never thought we’d see a resin series to this magnitude, and it just shows how far the medium has come.

Resin is King Series 2 includes works by Brian Ahlbeck (of Dead Hand Toys), Dave Bondi, Rich Page (of UME Toys), NEMO and OsirisOrion (of Bad Applez Inc.), Jay222, Motorbot, Matt A*, Argonaut Resins, Selina Briggs (of The Jelly Empire), Kilroy III, Kris Dulfer (of KiD iNK iNDUSTRiES), JC Rivera, Christopher Moore (of We Become Monsters), Vanessa Ramirez, Scott Kinnebrew (of Forces of Dorkness) and Tim Stephson.

This incredible resin series makes its debut at Kidrobot NY with a very special release party on Thursday, October 4th, from 6-8pm, where many of the artists involved will be on hand to sign and sketch. When The Blot first heard about this series organized by Tenacious Toys and Brian Ahlbeck (aka Lysol), I got really excited. Resin definitely seems to be the future of designer art toys, and so it was only a matter of time until we got our very first resin blind box series! Resin is King Series 1 includes seven brand new 3” resin figures by seven talented artist: Motorbot, Jay222, Matt A*, Brian Ahlbeck (of Dead Hand Toys), Dave Bondi, Rich Page (of Ume Toys), and Bad Applez Inc (NEMO and OsirisOrion).

Just like the majority of resin figures out there, each piece is cast and painted by hand. Because of this, no two pieces will be identical. And remember the picture above only showcases one of the many colorways for each sculpt. Each Resin is King blind boxes will retail for $25, which includes one random figure, a ratio card and a sticker. There will also be one Golden Ticket randomly inserted into one of the 40 blind boxes in this series, which can be redeemed for a 7" Teuth resin figure by Brian Ahlbeck!

“I’m a Bad Apple” Group Custom Show by Bad Applez Inc.

The creative minds behind Bad Applez Inc., OsiRisORion and NeMo, have put together an exciting online group show entitled “I’m a Bad Apple.” They selected over 30 artists to customize those little plastic apples you find at a craft store, and told the artists to do whatever they want with these common craft store items. From the few teaser images The Blot’s seen so far, these custom apples are going to be sick!

“I’m a Bad Apple” will go live this Valentine’s Day, February 14th, on the Bad Applez Inc. website. Head over there next Tuesday, and click on the “I’m a Bad Apple” gallery page where you’ll be able to see pictures of each piece from all 30 artists involved. Every custom apple from the show will also be available for purchase from the Bad Applez Inc. online store. So if you see a piece you like, definitely pick it up! Halloween Edition Space Junk Destroyer Resin Figures by Bad Applez Inc.

On Halloween Bad Applez Inc. (aka OsiRisORion and NeMo) will be taking pre-orders for 2 new colorways of the company’s first resin figure, the Space Junk Destroyer! The colorways are entitled “Bloody Meat” and “Goblin,” which together have been dubbed the Halloween Edition. I really love all the crazy details OsiRisORion and NeMo put into this figure, it's almost like a different figure every time you rotate a SJD.
